Qianhai goes all out to fight virus
    2020-02-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

QIANHAI has taken measures including personnel management, disinfection, online services and financial support in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 outbreak.

As a newly built financial hub of the city, Qianhai is home to massive on-going construction projects, and many Qianhai-registered companies and institutions are moving into offices and starting operations, which have made virus prevention and control work in the area more difficult.

To contain the spread of the virus, a comprehensive disinfection and management strategy has been adopted. Qianhai has temporarily appointed personnel at the construction sites, office buildings and enterprises parks for overseeing the implementation of the strategy.

It requires each company to post the name of its employees who are returning to work and ask every worker entering the workplace to register their ID card information and undergo a body temperature check.

Temperature checkpoints have been set up, and some places are only allowed one entrance and exit.

Investigation into the epidemiology and travel history of each person in the area has been carried out. People returning from Hubei will be quarantined.

Cars without local license plates are forbidden from entering the area.

To boost convenience, the Qianhai Electronic One-stop Service Center allows people to process 169 services online. The service desks are only accepting those who make an appointment in advance during the virus outbreak period.

The Qianhai Notary Office is also providing online services for those in need. People applying for government services finish applications from home via online platforms and receive documents by post.

In addition to those measures, Qianhai also announced rent exemptions for February and March totaling around 26 million yuan (US$3.72 million) to alleviate burdens on enterprises. The maximum rent reduction allowance for each company is capped at 1.5 million yuan. (Tan Yifan)
