Major transport infrastructures resume work
    2020-02-28  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link has partially resumed construction since Feb. 10 with full resumption expected to start tomorrow.

As of Tuesday, 4,000 laborers have worked on the link road and tunnel projects. “Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is a strategic project, and Zhongshan City has given full support to the progress of the project,” Li Bingsheng, Party chief of the Zhongshan Development and Reform Commission, said at a news conference organized by the Guangdong Provincial Government on Wednesday.

The measures included setting up a centralized, temporary living area for workers and providing masks, disinfectant and temperature checks.

The Lufeng-Longgang section of Shenzhen-Shantou Expressway expansion project has also resumed construction. It is part of five horizontal expressways in Guangdong’s expressway network and part of the expressway network that links Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with East China cities.

The construction of a satellite hall in Shenzhen airport also resumed Wednesday. So far, 90 percent contracted projects at Shenzhen airport had resumed construction. The projects include the satellite hall and its auxiliary projects.

A survey conducted by the Shenzhen Small and Medium Enterprises Service Bureau of 190 SMEs showed 47 percent resumed production last week.
