WE have seen the numbers of new COVID-19 cases in China dropping over the past weeks.

We see in Shenzhen that local people remain vigilant and keep taking precautions. However, many foreigners living in the city wear their face mask on their lower chin, not covering their mouth and nose, and their children play around not wearing a mask at all. I have even seen pictures of a birthday gathering with over 30 people and no one wore a mask. This is irresponsible behavior and makes me feel ashamed I am a foreigner. All expatriates should realize we are here as guests and we should respect our host by following the rules and guidelines set for all of us. Hopefully many will read this and think again next time before going out. Put on a mask and behave responsibly.
