Win a Jupiter Museum of Art membership card
    2020-04-21  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Sixty contemporary Chinese artists are exhibiting 104 of their works at “The Gaze of History: Contemporary Chinese Art Revisited” exhibition at Jupiter Museum of Art.

Curated by Wang Chunchen, deputy director of CAFA Art Museum in Beijing, the exhibition features oil paintings, installations, videos, sculptures and photographs. Highlighted artists include Fang Lijun, Liu Jianhua, Miao Xiaochun, Shen Shaomin, Sui Jianguo, Zhang Xiaogang, Zhou Li, Liang Quan, Wang Shaoqiang, Xu Bing, Zhang Peili, Dai Yun and Song Dong.

To echo a recent meme on Chinese social media — a rap line “yellow skirt, flurry hair” from the Chinese TV show “Youth With You,” Jupiter Museum of Art is inviting visitors to wear a yellow skirt to win a membership card.

To participate, take photos of yourself in a yellow skirt at the exhibition, then post the photos on your WeChat Moments or Weibo tagged with the location of Jupiter Museum of Art, and finally send a screenshot of your post to the museum’s official WeChat account “szmx_2019” by May 10.

If you visit the exhibition alone, the museum staff members will take photos for you. The museum will select the top three participants who earn the most votes online. Winners will be given a museum membership card and can visit the museum’s exhibitions free of charge for a year.

Exhibition: Until June 21

Hours: 10 a.m.-6 p.m., closed Mondays

Tickets: 50-88 yuan (Free on Fridays at 4-6 p.m.)

Venue: Jupiter Museum of Art, 6 Lanhua Road, Futian District (福田区蓝花道6号木星美术馆)

Metro: Line 4 to Futian Checkpoint Station (福田口岸站), Exit B and then take a taxi
