Hot tourist attractions

TWO tourist attractions in Shenzhen, namely Dameisha Beach Park and Shenzhen Bay Park, had been among the top 10 tourist attractions for self-guided travels in China during the May Day holiday, big data of amap.com showed.

Other attractions included West Lake and Qiandao Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, Mt. Taishan in Shandong Province, Fenghuang Ancient Town in Hunan Province and Beihai Silver Beach in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Public safety cases

CRIMINAL cases and cases jeopardizing public safety dropped by 13.8 percent during the May Day holiday compared to the same period last year, sources from Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau showed.

DUI death

ONE teenager was killed and two others were injured in an accident Monday when an e-bike hit a road barrier near Qianhai Customs in Nanshan District.

A 17-year-old, surnamed Huang, carried two other teenagers of similar age, Zhao and Xie, on the e-bike that eventually hit the barrier. Xie died, Huang and Zhao were injured.

The three were not wearing helmets while on the e-bike, and were confirmed to have alcohol content in their blood. Huang’s alcohol content was 28.96mgs per 100 mls.

The case is still under investigation.
