Task list for education city in Xili unveiled
    2020-05-22  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

NANSHAN District unveiled a three-year action plan and task list for key projects in 2020 for the construction of Xili Lake International Science and Education City at a meeting Wednesday.

The science and education city has become a project of the Ministry of Science and Technology to support Shenzhen’s effort at building a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is also a major strategic platform for Shenzhen to promote the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) along with the pilot demonstration area.

According to the action plan, Nanshan will push forward construction of the science city through six aspects including implementing key projects, cultivating innovation incubators, gathering leading innovation resources, promoting concerted development in the GBA, construction of an innovation-based economy and strengthening the integrated development of industry, research and education.

The 2020 project list involves 18 key projects and 56 tasks.

The action plan supports construction of Pengcheng Lab, and Shenzhen University and SUSTech to be first-rate universities in the world.
