THE health authority said Thursday that it received reports of two newly confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland Wednesday, one of which was imported and reported in Guangdong Province. The other was a domestically transmitted case in Shanghai, the National Health Commission said in its daily report. No deaths related to the disease were reported Wednesday, according to the commission. Also on Wednesday, 31 new asymptomatic cases, including three from overseas, were reported on the mainland. No cases were re-categorized as confirmed cases, and 24 asymptomatic cases were discharged from medical observation.
