The SIFC Art High School Music Center of Shenzhen International Foundation College has recently been officially established at the International Art Design Center in Bao’an District and will start its first school term in September this year, according to DT News. The school says that it will adopt international cutting-edge teaching concepts to develop a complete teaching system, in a bid to produce well-rounded students with multi-major backgrounds and to build itself into a top international art high school in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Fu Tengxiao, dean of Shenzhen International Foundation College, says that the school will explore innovative approaches so as to keep up with the level of international music education. “What our teachers teach at school should meet the demands of the market. Our goal is to cultivate well-rounded students by combining the high school curriculum with art lessons,” Fu said. The center will take advantage of the achievements in the scientific research of artificial intelligence (AI) and hire the best teachers from home and abroad to make it one of a few top art high schools. Meanwhile, the school will allow students to have double majors so that students who really love music can incorporate their arts major with other popular majors required in the job market. The music center has five majors including vocal and instrumental performance, music education, music management and music therapy. (Yang Mei) |
