A campus sci-tech fair, which has been held at Shenzhen Futian Foreign Languages High School for 16 consecutive years, kicked off on June 8 and ran for a week, the Shenzhen Economic Daily reported.

The sci-tech fair hosted competitions on digital posters, scientific compositions, DIYs, photography, and blackboard and hand-written newspapers.

In the competition, students shared their takes and enlightened moments on science and technologies and reflected on the influences technological development has brought to human society. A total of 50 entries were received and the contestants’ basic scientific knowledge was tested.

In the DIY contest, students made gadgets from commonly-seen materials. They also expressed perspectives on science, humanity and nature, and through their photos and the newspapers they made, shared tips on enhancing efficiency.

The weeklong event greatly inspired students’ passions for science and improved their capability in solving sci-tech related quizzes and making innovative gadgets.
