A total of 28 universities from China, six from the mainland, 16 from Taiwan, four from Hong Kong and two from Macao, are on the list.

SUSTech took the leading places in all five performance indicators among the mainland young universities including teaching (30 percent), research (30 percent), citations (30 percent), international outlook (7.5 percent) and industry income (2.5 percent).

It is noteworthy that the indicators in growth in industry income had seen an 88-percent increase compared with last year.

In the 2021 World University Rankings released by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) recently, SUSTech took 14th place among the mainland universities and 323rd among world universities.
