Apart from obtaining remarkable achievement in music including passing vocal music level 9 of the China Conservatory of Music, national youth broadcasting and hosting level 8 and piano level 5 of the Chinese Musicians’ Association, and owning six original songs, Fu Ziting, a grade 5 student of Shenzhen Longgang Experimental School, recently won the title of “Guangdong Excellent Youth in the New Era 2020,” after attaining the title of “Most Beautiful Youth in Guangdong” last year. “Ziting is punctual, serious, rigorous and steady. She is a reliable girl,” said Lin Xia, a teacher of the school. “The kid has an inherent personality which doesn’t allow her to yield to failure easily. Whether inside class or out of class, she always tries her best at everything,” said Lin’s mom, surnamed Yang. If you open Lin’s Chinese notebook, you will see that the book is fully covered with her notes taken during class. Her rigorous attitude in daily life reflects why she received all the honorary titles at such a young age. Last year, Lin went to Jiangxi Province to compete in the final of the national music competition of Chinese Good Children. Her original song “Come Back Home Early,” which describes the story of her mother who is a policewoman, touched the audience and won second prize in the Championship. However, Lin was not that happy as other people expected. “I feel a little pity because my goal is the champion, but the winner is really strong and excellent. I will win the champion when I reach their age,” said Lin. This March, Lin joined in the singing of an original song created by her instructor, “Never Absent,” to pay tribute to the work and efforts made by medics in the fight against the outbreak. At the same time, she finished the writing of two songs in the fight against the outbreak, “Deep Love” and “China Magic.” When talking about the future, Lin said she wants to become a middle school music teacher in Longgang District, “So I can share the knowledge with many kids which will make me happy. All I have achieved today could not have become true without the guidance provided by my school.” (Chen Xiaochun) |
