‘Heavenly Bodies’

Paintings and sculptures created by Chinese artist Qin Qi and Philippine artist Rodel Tapaya are on display until July 5 at the “Heavenly Bodies in the South” exhibition. Visitors are required to book their visit on WeChat “hxnartmuseum.”

Handicrafts

Local intangible cultural heritage crafts people are exhibiting their latest works that address the theme of COVID-19 pandemic-fighting at the Shenzhen Museum until July 5. Entry is free but the museum requires visitors to book on its WeChat account “iszbwg” in advance.

‘On the Myth of Babel’

The “On the Myth of Babel” exhibition, running until July 17, showcases contemporary artworks from nine artists and designers, covering a variety of forms and languages ranging from oil paintings, sculptures, prints, photos and installations.

Venue: OCT Art & Design Gallery, Nanshan District (南山区华 • 美术馆)

‘Cosmos’

The “Cosmos” exhibition (88 yuan), running until Sept. 20, re-creates interactive scenes based on concepts or hidden physical laws found by scientists like Albert Einstein, Felix Klein, David Hilbert, Hendrik Lorentz, Erwin Schrodinger and Stephen Hawking.

Venue: One Avenue, Futian District (福田区卓悦中心)

Bologna illustrations

“Bologna Illustrators Exhibition China Tour and Scarry’s 100th Birthday Exhibition” (88 yuan) features 387 illustrations created by 81 international illustrators and original drafts by U.S. children’s author and illustrator Richard McClure Scarry. The exhibition runs until July 26.

Venue: Yealife, Yitian Holiday Plaza, Nanshan District (南山区益田假日广场Yealife)

Sea World

The “Values of Design: China in the Making” exhibition (68 yuan), running until Dec. 20, showcases 138 Chinese works and explores the growing field of Chinese design. And the People’s Architecture Office, which is renowned for taking a different approach to urban redevelopment, is exhibiting its past projects at the “Social Design: Learning at Play” exhibition (free entry) until July 26.
