A 9th grader from Shenzhen No. 2 Experimental School, Lin was recently awarded the title of “Good Teen in the New Era” in Guangdong Province. Being a military officer, Lin’s father is very strict with him physically and mentally. During summer and winter breaks, Lin usually goes back to his hometown in countryside to help with farm work, which shapes him into a hard-working and grateful boy. Lin has a wide range of hobbies such as reading, math, physics and computers. More importantly, he is good at putting what he has learned into practical use and to solve problems in real life. Lin invented a finished automatic umbrella screen printer device for which he obtained a patent. The screen printer has been authorized for use by some companies for production, and Lin said he would donate part of the profits to charity work. Lin is very passionate about philanthropy.
