A movie-watching event aiming at enhancing students’ awareness of copyright protection was held in the afternoon of July 10 in the Luohuqiao Community of Luohu District. The event is part of the community’s efforts to provide guidance to kids for the upcoming summer vacation when most of them are expected to spend plenty of time at home alone, which will make watching films and videos a choice of many for entertainment. The event began with a community staff member putting forward a series of questions regarding copyright protection and illegal publications. With the questions in mind, the kids watched Coco, an Oscar-winning animation together. A discussion session then followed, during which community staffers introduced the kids to relevant concepts and emphasized the importance of resisting illegal publications and copyright protection.
