Immortal seagull spotted with arrow in chest
    2020-08-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A SEAGULL is still alive and well two months after being shot with an arrow still stuck through its body.

The immortal bird has stunned diners at the KFC in Blackpool, Lancashire, the United Kingdom, where it has been feasting on scraps of chips and chicken since the end of May.

It seems unfazed by the 45-centimeter arrow pierced through the middle of it.

Despite it attracting the attention of worried customers who want to take it to the vet, the plucky gull, which is still able to fly, has so far evaded capture.

Residents of the seaside resort are now living in fear the thug who shot the poor gull may strike again and calling on visitors to be vigilant.

Blackpool-based property developer, Mark Leech, 40, first captured the bird on camera at the end of May during a trip to the KFC with his family.

The father of two said: “I was very alarmed when I first saw the seagull.

“The injury looked life-threatening to such a small animal.

“I tried to lure it over with a chip to catch it and take it to the vets, but it wouldn’t take the bait.

“If there was a big cage with some food in there, I think it could be caught.

“What’s disturbing is there’s someone out there willing to shoot innocent animals. It makes you think — who will be next?”

The seagull is thought to have been shot straight on with the arrow, the feather end of which is sticking out near the bird’s head.

Mark said that several people had contacted the Royal society for the protection of animals from abuse about the injured seagull but so far no one had come to rescue it.

The bird has attracted lots of attention since first being spotted in the suburban shopping park two months ago and many people have stopped to film it.

Who and why shot the seagull is unknown. Local people are worried that unknown who shot the bird, can harm other animals.

Earlier it was reported that U.K. residents took dirty in curry sauce tea for an exotic bird.

Because of the sticky sauce she couldn’t fly and acquired a bright orange color.
