Fairs, a platform for cooperation, opportunities
    2020-08-04  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FAIRS in Shenzhen have become an important window for the exchange and cooperation between China and the world in high-tech, cultural, educational and commercial sectors.

Before the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center was built in 2004, there were no mega exhibition centers in town and the first seven editions of the China Hi-Tech Fair, the largest and most influential scientific and technological fair in China, was held at a temporary exhibition hall on Shennan Boulevard in Futian District from 1999 to 2005.

Now more than 100 fairs have been held yearly at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, which covers 220,000 square meters. Last year, the first phase of the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center, with a construction area of 1.6 million square meters, was put into use in Bao’an District near the city’s airport. More governments, companies and organizations from home and abroad are seeking business opportunities through fairs in Shenzhen.(SD News)
