9th children’s songs contest is calling for entries
    2020-08-26  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The 9th Annual Shenzhen Children’s Songs Creation and Promotion and Excellent Children’s Singer Selection competition is soliciting original songs from candidates nationwide and calling for children singers to participate to win the title of one of the “best singers.”

The event is organized jointly by the Publicity Department of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Shenzhen Municipal Civilization Office, Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau and the Shenzhen Literary Federation.

The event consists of three stages, namely “collection of original lyrics and songs,” “selection of excellent children singers” and “promotion of lyrics and songs.”

The “collection of original lyrics and songs” is open for entries and the deadline is Sept. 30.

The contest accepts all subjects, styles and expressions, as long as they are closely related to children’s lives and show children’s innocence.

These works are expected to reflect what’s happening in our time, pay tribute to heroes, carry forward anti-virus spirit, share Shenzhen’s stories and reflect children’s lives and their positive spirit.

Entries must be original children’s songs and lyrics that were created by domestic songwriters between October 2019 and September 2020, and have not previously won awards in competitions at or above the city level, and have no copyright disputes.

For original campus songs and nursery rhymes, they must be created before the registration deadline and have not won awards in previous competitions at or above the city level, and have no copyright disputes.

Each songwriter should submit no more than 5 entries.

The event also welcomes students and teachers of middle schools and primary schools to submit their works.

The event will award first, second and third prizes for the category of children’s songs (campus songs), 10 excellent children’s lyrics and nursery rhymes, and award certificates and payment to songwriters. In addition, the event will select some children’s songs to be recognized with “excellence awards.”

Interested candidates can mail their works to the following address:
