THE supply chain company East Top has become the first listed private enterprise in Qianhai since the zone’s establishment in 2001. Last year, the total revenue and import and export volume of the company reached 14.1 billion yuan (US$2.03 billion) and 10 billion yuan, respectively.

According to Li Xuyang, East Top’s secretary chairman, the rapid development of the company is largely attributed to the constantly improved business environment in Qianhai.

“In recent years, the Qianhai authority has rolled out a series of innovative financial services such as the cross-border settlement of RMB, the cross-border two-way capital pool of local and foreign currencies, and the free trade account, which helped us improve the management efficiency of our cross-border capital and reduce costs,” Li said.

As the first batch of enterprises that enjoyed the service of classified supervision of goods, East Top cooperated with ASUS, the well-known computer manufacturer, to establish the ASUS global warehouse in the Qianhaiwan Free Trade Port Area. Under the service, the bonded goods and non-bonded goods can be stored in the same warehouse, which saved ASUS 40 percent of their warehousing and logistics costs.

“The favorable business environment in Qianhai has attracted a large number of quality enterprises to settle, which makes it easy for us to search for more cooperation opportunities here,” Li said.
