SINCE the founding of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in 1980, the old Shenzhen Railway Station in Luohu District quickly lost its ability to fully serve the community due to the rapid growth of passengers and trains. In 2003, the decision was made to locate a new railway station in Longhua, and four years later construction began. In late 2011, the Shenzhen North Railway Station was put into operation. What makes it special is that it consists of a bus station, a Metro station, a taxi stand, a coach station and a parking area that are all under the magnificent roof of the Shenzhen North Railway Station, making it an easy visit rain or shine. After passengers get off the trains, they can simply follow the signs inside the station to transfer to their transports of choice. The Shenzhen North Railway Station is built for high-speed trains and you can expect the most efficient and advanced train services and facilities there. It is one of the landmark projects among all the railway stations in China.(Cao Zhen) |
