The best bicycle societies in the world
    2020-09-02  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Daniel Otero

China has continually been a bicycle society since the late 19th century. Inside an overpopulated country, the bike is primordial and has always placed Chinese society in the top 10 bicycle user countries of the world. Lately, more people in China depend as much on the concept of the “mo-bike” as on public transport. To pedal or use walking power is definitely better for the protection of the environment and health.

Let’s take a closer look at other nations that frequently use the bike for transportation and the top countries focusing on protecting nature.

The Japanese are very conscious about bike usage. One of the best things about Asian societies is their use of this system and it is a way to build stamina and keep fit.

Then come the Danes. Especially in Copenhagen, Danes pedal to and from work. The Danish capital is one of the best places in the whole of Europe for cheap and efficient public transport. Therefore, many people either walk, ride or use two wheels to get to their places of business.

The top bike society country in the world is Nederland, home to the Dutch, with 99 percent of its people using this mode of transportation. It is important for them to use the bicycle especially in Amsterdam, where the old capital has some pretty narrow-streets. Further from Amsterdam, in the countryside and with the bicycle the Dutch can enjoy their fields full of tulips and admirable windmills.

Other nations following the Dutch’s example in their quest for a betterment of the environment are the following: Sweden, Norway and Finland.

After these countries comes the category of countries of great chocolate lovers and makers, the Belgians.

Also, one of the best bicycling societies and protectors of their environment.

After chocolate come the Germans who are people enjoying their beer, but also their bikes; and the nation of Germany is in a tie with France.

And of course, the French were the creators of the “Tour De France.” The French are bicycle lovers to the “T,” those who believe in the perfection of their two-wheels and to maximize to the edge this bicycling sport.

This last is one of the greatest bicycle-cultures who basically train their legs on the hilly countrysides of Switzerland. It keeps the people sturdy and strong.

To conclude, the auto/car may be a status symbol, but it is the bike and public transport that is to rule in the future of the world.
