Nanshan Museum

A Three Kingdoms-themed exhibition, with more than 170 pieces of precious cultural relics provided by 36 museums around China, is being held until Oct. 14. Meanwhile, cultural relics on loan from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Museum are also on display until Nov. 29. Entry is free and visitors are required to book their visit on the museum’s WeChat account “nanshanmuseum.”

Guan Shanyue’s art

Master Guan Shanyue’s paintings of murals in the Mogao Caves and the landscape in Northwest China are on display at the “Camel Bells Beyond the Great Wall” exhibition until June 26, 2021. Follow the WeChat account “gsyart” to book your visit.

Nantou Ancient Town

A 330-meter-long street inside the 1,700-year-old Nantou Ancient Town has been renovated recently with various historical, art and design exhibitions. There are also food and beverage businesses, unique retailers and cultural and creative stores along the street.

Venue: Nantou Ancient Town, Nanshan District (南山区南头古城)

Metro: Line 1 to Taoyuan Station (桃园站), Exit B, and then walk northward for 20 minutes

Antique nautical charts

Twenty-five reproduced antique nautical charts in Europe are on display at the “From Mediterranean to South China Sea” exhibition until Sept. 21, exploring Shenzhen’s geographic role in the global maritime trade history. Entry is free and no booking is required.

Venue: MJH Art Gallery, Kuipeng Road, Dapeng New District (大鹏新区葵鹏路满京华美术馆)

Metro: Line 3 to Cuizhu Station (翠竹站), Exit B2 and then take bus E11 to Kuichong Center Stop (葵冲中心站) and then take bus B956 to MJH Yixiang Stop (满京华艺象站)

‘Blazing Element’

Nineteen artists and studios are invited to explore the relationship between fire and three materials: metal, ceramics and glass at the “Blazing Element” exhibition (38 yuan) running until Oct. 11.
