CHINESE University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-SZ) and Shenzhen MSU-BIT University are launching a new independent enrollment for new students that cannot attend classes at overseas universities affected by the pandemic, Shenzhen Economic Daily reported. Due to the pandemic, some students who have been admitted to overseas universities cannot travel to their new schools to start the new term. In order to provide more opportunities to these students, the two universities have decided to launch a new independent enrollment. Students who have received offers to study for either bachelor’s or master’s degree programs from overseas universities have the chance to study at CUHK-SZ. For an application, students can submit required materials before Sunday. CUHK-SZ will issue this year’s fall offers to qualified students. According to CUHK-SZ’s policy, newly admitted graduate students can select any subject of their departments, except financial engineering, as their major at the end of the first school year. Students can receive degree certificates from CUHK when they successfully finish all tasks required for graduation. Shenzhen MSU-BIT University will release a related enrollment policy soon.
