SHENZHEN MSU-BIT University in Longgang District is launching a new independent enrollment for Chinese postgraduate students that cannot attend classes at universities overseas affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The opportunities are offered to students that have received offers to study for master’s degree programs from the top 80 overseas universities on the QS, U.S. News, THE or ARWU rankings.

The enrollment is not included in the national enrollment plan.

Successfully admitted students will register on the system of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and will receive degree certificates from MSU after finishing all required tasks.

The university plans to enroll 10 students as biology majors with a direction towards nanobiotechnology, 10 biology majors with a direction towards system ecology, and 13 geography majors with a direction towards urban ecology and regional planning.

The master’s degree program lasts two years. The degree certificate can be verified at the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange.

Students can visit http://admission.smbu.edu.cn for an application and to submit related materials until Saturday.

Shenzhen MSU-BIT University will announce the list for preliminary examinations before Monday.

Qualified students will be invited to take examinations on biology and geography Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.

The final admission list will be announced Friday, according to Shenzhen MSU-BIT University.
