Students and teachers in Nanshan District were invited to visit police stations and take part in a series of activities on the afternoon of September 17 to experience the daily life of policemen.

The event was the first of a series of events designed to enhance students and teachers’ understanding and support of the duties of policemen, further promote the collaboration between the public security bureau and schools in the district, and create a safer and more harmonious campus environment for students.

At the main venue of the event in Nantou police station, activities in a variety of forms such as visits, lectures and VR experiences captured the attention of students. Many told reporters that they were shocked to learn there are so many types of new drugs lurking around them, and many were amazed by the cutting-edge technologies applied to facilitate police officers’ work.

The event was jointly held by the Nanshan public security bureau and the Nanshan education bureau.

According to the Nanshan public security bureau, more similar events will be rolled out as part of its effort for closer collaboration with schools in the district. (Yu Yuanfan)
