Water bottle doubles as a foam roller
    2020-09-25  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

TWO of the best things you can do to recover after a hard workout is to hydrate and foam roll, and this water bottle can help you do both.

Foam rolling after a workout can especially help reduce delayed-onset muscle soreness, according to a review published in 2019 in Frontiers in Physiology. Delayed onset muscle soreness (also known as DOMS) is what leaves you sore the day after a workout that involves movements you haven’t done before and unconventional muscle contractions.

Unfortunately, while there haven’t been many studies on exactly why foam rolling works, it has similar effects of using an ice bath, a Theragun or compression gear to make your muscles feel less tight and heavy.

Nonetheless, this water bottle by Mobot doubles as a foam roller so you can recover faster and on the go. It’s great for traveling or taking to

an outdoor boot camp and is ideal if you simply have limited space for storing a foam roller at home.

The Mobot water bottle is made from recycled stainless steel surrounded by high-density, non-toxic polyfoam and can hold up to 350 pounds. You can roll on it empty or filled with ice water, but either way, it’s pretty sturdy. The lid also has a straw for easier sipping during a workout.

The Mobot comes in three sizes: the Firecracker (18 ounces), the Grace (27 ounces) and the Big Bertha (40 ounces). All come in several colors and designs and can be found on Amazon starting at US$39.99. (SD-Agencies)
