THE 28th Global Financial Centers Index (GRCI) report has placed Shenzhen ninth in their global survey. The index takes factors including business environment, human resources, infrastructure and financial industry development into account.

New York ranked first while three other Chinese cities, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Beijing, were among the top 10 financial centers, according to the report.

New roads

THREE new road sections in Luohu District were put into use Saturday, and are expected to relieve traffic pressure in Luohu District. The new road sections are: the C ramp of the Donghu Lake Flyover, eastbound and westbound sections on Buxin Road, Shenzhen Evening News reported.
