Wang Jingli wangjingli0715@163.com The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area university accounting major alliance was established on September 23 at a ceremony held at the Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen (HIT-SZ) in Nanshan District. The alliance was jointly initiated by HIT-SZ, Sun Yat-Sen University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of Macao and the Macao University of Science and Technology. The five universities will cooperate to build new opportunities for accounting majors in the Greater Bay Area. Wu Delin, Party chief of HIT-SZ, said at the ceremony that the alliance aims to attract high-quality resources, to become an innovation platform and to cultivate top talents. HIT-SZ, as the alliance’s secretariat, will ramp up efforts to promote related fields, according to Wu. Professors from the other four universities attended the ceremony virtually. They expressed their congratulation to the establishment of the alliance and said that they will carry out specific work to promote high-quality development of the accounting major in the Greater Bay Area. It is said that the municipal finance bureau will support the alliance’s development, help introduce more high-quality resources, and inject new intelligence power to build the Greater Bay Area as well as the socialist demonstration area. After the ceremony, the alliance held its first committee meeting and delivered a work plan covering 2020 to 2021. |
