LACOSTE and National Geographic have joined forces on an eco-responsible capsule collection that celebrates the diversity of the animal kingdom.

The capsule was inspired by the National Geographic Photo Ark, a project with a mission of documenting every species living in the world’s zoos, aquariums and wildlife sanctuaries. For the collection, Lacoste selected four animal species: the Grevy Zebra, the Green and Black Poison Dart Frog, the Halloween Pennant Dragonfly and the Jaguar. The capsule honors the species and highlights their exciting stories through different designs that include bold graphics and vibrant prints.

Launching Wednesday on Lacoste.com and at Lacoste boutiques and select wholesale locations, the collection includes an exclusive assortment of menswear, womenswear and children’s wear.

Each animal species category offers a number of pieces. The part of the capsule inspired by the Jaguar includes a boy’s gray Fleece Sweatshirt that features Lacoste’s signature crocodile logo across the front, reimagined with Jaguar spots. The inside crewneck includes a a bold yellow stripe on the necklines to celebrate the design and trademark of National Geographic. Also included in the Jaguar category is an Animal Print Shopper that is adorned with Jaguar spots and features black handles. Customers can also shop a Men’s Regular Fit Print Cotton Polo Short, that showcases a Jaguar spot pattern with a marigold collar.

The Zebra category offers a women’s Animal Print Pique Polo Shirt in a Zebra pattern that features Lacoste’s crocodile logo reimagined with black and white stripes. The Zebra set also includes a Men’s V-neck Cotton Sweater that includes an enlarged Zebra-designed crocodile logo.

For the Frog, Lacoste and National Geographic created a blue Men’s Cotton Pique Cap with the crocodile logo appearing in speckles. The category also includes a blue Animal Print Backpack. The Dragonfly category offers a Women’s Print Quilted Jacket that is reminiscent of the Dragonfly’s complex and intricate wing pattern.

The Lacoste x National Geographic capsule also includes T-shirts in an array of colorways, boxer briefs and shirt dresses. All the materials sourced for the collection are eco-responsible and all have been certified sustainable and recycled. Lacoste used recycled polyester for the bags and organic cotton for the polos.(SD-Agencies)
