    2020-11-19  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SINGAPORE hopes to enhance exchanges and cooperation with Shenzhen in technology innovation, investment and trade, social affairs, culture and smart city construction, Lui Tuck Yew, the Singaporean ambassador to China, said during a visit to Shenzhen on Tuesday.

At the meeting with Lui, Shenzhen Party chief Wang Weizhong said the city will take the opportunities brought by the newly signed Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership to work with Singapore in the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road and cooperation in technology, finance, medical care, education and smart city construction.

Lui congratulated the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone on the achievements it had made over the past 40 years. He said Shenzhen has been commissioned a key task to be a demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and it will have huge development potential as a benchmark city in China’s new round of reform and opening up. (Han Ximin)
