Drugs seized

POLICE in Southwest China’s Yunnan Province have recently busted a drug trafficking case, capturing three suspects and seizing more than 50 kilograms of drugs.

Police in northern Yunnan’s Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture received a tip-off that drugs would be transported from overseas to China. On Oct. 29, the police dispatched a task force to the neighboring Baoshan City and the prefectures of Dali and Dehong to investigate the case.

Workshop collapse

THREE people died after a factory workshop under construction collapsed early yesterday morning in Liupanshui City, Southwest China’s Guizhou Province.

The collapse happened at around 2:30 a.m., trapping five people. About four hours later, rescuers brought out three of them and sent them to a hospital.
