Cargo clearance SHENZHEN Bay Checkpoint implemented a 24-hour cargo clearance service starting Thursday. Due to COVID-19, the 24-hour border-crossing service for travelers, scheduled to open before the end of December, has been suspended. Pension standard THE city has approved an increase in the monthly basic pension starting from Jan. 1, 2020 for those covered by the city’s pension program. For those with Shenzhen hukou for no more than eight years by Jan. 1, 2020, the basic pension standard will be increased from 302 yuan (US$46) per month to 322 yuan per month. For those with hukou for more than eight years, the standard will be increased from 453 yuan per month to 483 yuan. Expressway tolls THE fee standard for the city’s Outer Ring Expressway, which is scheduled to be put into partial operation before the end of the year, is 0.6 yuan per kilometer, according to Guangdong’s transport department. The 93-kilometer expressway has a 76-kilometer section on the Shenzhen side and a 17-kilometer section on the Dongguan side. Train ticket booking EMPLOYERS can now book tickets for their employees for the Spring Festival holiday travel at Shenzhen Railway Station. They can book the pre-festival train tickets departing from Guangzhou, Guangzhou East and Foshan stations between Jan. 28 and Feb. 11 or the post-festival tickets for trains returning from Hunan and other regions between Feb. 15 and March 1. |
