Adrien Brody joins Saoirse Ronan in murder movie
    2020-12-16  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Academy Award-winner Adrien Brody has joined the high-profile cast, led by Saoirse Ronan, of Searchlight’s untitled murder mystery feature.

Tom George is helming the project that also has Sam Rockwell and David Oyelowo on the playbill.

Written by Mark Chappell, the script is set in London in the 1950s where a desperate Hollywood film producer sets out to turn a popular West End play into a film. When members of the production are murdered, world-weary Inspector Stoppard (Rockwell) and overzealous rookie Constable Stalker (Ronan) find themselves in the midst of a puzzling whodunit within London’s glamorous Theatreland and sordid underground.

Brody will play Leo Kopernick, a blacklisted Hollywood film director.

Prolific Damian Jones, whose recent credits include “Goodbye Christopher Robin” and “Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie,” is producing.

Head of development and production for Searchlight Pictures U.K., Katie Goodson-Thomas, director of production Richard Ruiz, and senior development executive Pete Spencer are overseeing for the Disney-owned prestige movie arm.

Brody won a best actor Oscar for Roman Polanski’s “The Pianist.” He has also appeared in “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and “Fantastic Mr. Fox.” (SD-Agencies)
