SINCE tying the knot at a surprise ceremony in July 2014, Chinese actress Zhou Xun and U.S. actor Archie Kao have been dogged by divorce rumors when fans started to take note of the fact that they haven’t been seen together publicly or in each other’s social media photos in the past four years. On Wednesday morning, Zhou’s company and Kao posted the same wish on their Chinese social media Weibo accounts, “Wish you well,” confirming their separation. The stars have not yet given official statements regarding the status of their relationship but according to Taiwanese media, Kao has told his friends about his divorce, saying there’s no financial dispute between him and Zhou. “It has been many years since we had a photo together. Of course, we have already divorced and I’m very surprised to receive so much attention now,” he said. Zhou announced her marriage with the “CSI” actor at a charity gala in Hangzhou in 2014, but since 2016 their marriage was plagued with numerous rumors of separation because in that year, they only shared one group photo on their social media accounts on Zhou’s 42nd birthday. In May this year, Kao, 51, deleted all his photos with Zhou on his Instagram and in October, a photo of Kao kissing a young woman was posted on this unidentified woman’s social media account. (The woman labels it as a secondary account.) Along with the photo, the woman also showed a handwritten love letter from Kao, proving she is Kao’s current girlfriend. Kao is best known for his regular roles on “Chicago P.D.” and “Power Rangers Lost Galaxy,” as well as the long-running hit “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.”(SD News) |
