Passengers are seen on the C2702 Fuxing bullet train that was leaving the newly-built Xiongan Railway Station for Beijing West Railway Station yesterday morning. The departure of the train marked the start of the Beijing-Xiongan Intercity Railway’s operation as well as the use of Xiongan Railway Station, the first completed major infrastructure project in Xiongan New Area, North China’s Hebei Province. Travel time from Beijing West Railway Station to Xiongan is cut from 90 minutes to about 50 minutes. It takes only 19 minutes from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Xiongan. China News Service
