HOSTED by the city’s cultural and ethical standard-raising office, Shenzhen Project Care has been launched for 17 consecutive years since 2003. More than 30,000 public welfare activities have been held in the past years; more than 600 meritorious Shenzheners, such as singer Cong Fei, teacher Sun Ying, doctor Guo Chunyuan, have been promoted; and more than 2,000 projects supporting rural education, thalassemia children, migrant workers and locals’ psychological health, have been carried out.

With the participation by all citizens, Shenzhen Project Care has made philanthropy a prevailing custom and lifestyle in Shenzhen. Some organizations and charity foundations in the city are also giving hope to people in need and helping them get out of trouble.(SD News)
