LEGO Botanical Collection lends a touch of nature
    2021-01-06  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

LEGO fans can already build everything from the Star Wars Millennium Falcon to Batman’s Batmobile, but now the toy company wants to attract botanical fans with its new series.

The LEGO Botanical Collection includes the Flower Bouquet (10280) and the Bonsai Tree (10281). There will also be the smaller sets which include the LEGO Roses (40460) and the LEGO Tulips (40461). Keeping in line with the theme of nature and environmentalism, the collection uses plant-based plastic from sustainably sourced sugarcane.

The 756-piece Flower Bouquet features a host of beautiful blooms in an array of stunning colors that builders can customize as their flowers flourish. You can build snapdragons, roses, poppies, asters, daisies and different grasses. The flower stems are adjustable, making it easy to arrange and fit into any vase.

There are two types of trees when it comes to the LEGO Bonsai Tree model: evergreen or pink cherry blossoms. You can create new trees to reflect the changing seasons simply by swapping the colored crowns. There are also tiny pink frogs hiding in the cherry blossom petals. The 878-piece building kit also includes a rectangular flowerpot and a slatted wood-effect LEGO stand where you can display it on your desk.

The LEGO Flower Bouquet blooms can be designed to be over 36cm high and the LEGO Bonsai Tree stands at 18cm high when complete.

“As people look for new ways to switch off and relax, we’re delighted to be able to help them seek solace from their busy everyday lives as they immerse themselves in creating these beautiful botanical builds,” said Jamie Berard, design lead at the LEGO Group. “The customizable elements and beautiful experience will hopefully help them express themselves as their creativity blossoms.” (SD-Agencies)
