


Seven French movies will soon be screened in town at the Broadway Cinematheque and the Palace LUXE Cinema. The movies were all created in the past two years: “La Vérité” was directed by Palme d’Or winner Hirokazu Kore-eda and stars Catherine Deneuve, Juliette Binoche, Ethan Hawke and Clémentine Grenier; “Un Triomphe” won Best Comedy of European Film Awards; “Sibyl” was a Palme d’Or nominee at the Cannes Film Festival; “J’ai Perdu Mon Corps” won Best Animated Film of César Awards; “A L’Abordage” was selected to be shown in the Panorama section at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival; “Fête de Famille” again stars veteran actress Deneuve; and “La Belle Epoque” gathers a group of French stars including Daniel Auteuil, Guillaume Canet and Doria Tillier. ‘J’ai Perdu Mon Corps’ (2019) Plot: “J’ai Perdu Mon Corps” (“I Lost My Body”) is an animated film that tells the tragic and uplifting story of Naoufel and Gabrielle. In another part of town, a severed hand escapes from a dissection lab, determined to find its body again.
