AREAS of Dapeng and Nanshan entered the list of areas of bed-and-breakfast inns (B&Bs) with great potential, a new report, SWEETOME Hurun China Holiday Home Destinations with the Greatest Potential in 2021, said.

The report, jointly released by Hurun Report and the world’s leading shared accommodation operator Sweetome Group, evaluated the potential of B&B areas in three aspects: the growth of booking orders, the order amounts and favorable comments from customers.

Jiaochangwei and Dapeng Suocheng, or Dapeng Fortress, areas in Dapeng New Area ranked eighth nationwide in terms of potential in the category of B&Bs near tourist attractions, while the regions surrounding Coastal City and Houhai in Nanshan District ranked sixth in terms of potential in the category of B&Bs in business areas.

Dongchong and Xichong were also on the list of tourist attractions having the most potential in the B&B market.

Meanwhile, Bantian area in Longgang (22nd), university town and Xili zoo area in Nanshan (57th) and the area of Longgang central and Universiade Center in Longgang (77th) were among the top 100 business areas with the greatest potential for B&Bs.

Beibuwanyihao in Beihai City in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region topped the list of the top 100 business center B&B areas with the greatest potential.

Shenzhen is the only first-tier city among the top 10 cities with the most listed business areas with B&Bs with the greatest potential.

Chengdu has the most listed business areas that possess B&Bs with great potential, followed by Changsha and Chongqing.

Dapeng New Area is the first location in Shenzhen and Guangdong to develop B&Bs, which can be dated back to 2004, according to Shenzhen Economic Daily.

Jiaochangwei and Dapeng Fortress areas became the province’s regions with the most number of B&Bs between 2007 and 2008.

As of November last year, Dapeng had a total of 1,038 registered B&Bs with 9,329 guest rooms. (Wang Jingli)
