My perspective on the change of president in the United States is optimistic. I think that the United States electing Trump as president was wrong, but it was a necessary evil to denote the social decomposition that has been increasing for several years now.

America’s problem was that, instead of trying to evolve its economy, it sought to find someone to blame.

Trump blamed immigrants, ways of doing business, international business partners.

Trump saw a population desperate for a solution and he took advantage of the vulnerability and desperation of the people.

Fortunately, a little more than half of the population of the United States realized that the solution is not to eliminate or reimagine their past, it is to evolve what they already have.

They have the greatest population diversity in the world and it is time to start working together, heal the wounds left by the Trump administration and regain confidence in their people and the world.

I think it will take time and work for the United States to return to what it once was (a world leader), but the first step has been taken and that was not to reelect Trump.

Regarding the pandemic, Biden has been very clear, he is going to support the people and pay attention to the scientists, he is going to make the mask mandatory, he is going to give support to the most vulnerable and has an ambitious plan to vaccinate 100 million people in their first 100 days in office, that is, vaccinate 1 million people per day, which would be equivalent to almost a third of their population. I see a hopeful outlook in his plan to control the pandemic.

The United States will try to return to being the leader it once was, it will take more than a four-year period to do so, but it will be heading towards it.

It will reopen the economy and dialogue with Europe and China and will seek internal stability without affecting its international relations. Trump’s evil will make America more empathetic.

Regarding the relationship with my country, Mexico, I do not think there will be many improvements, and not because of the action of the United States towards us, but because the president of Mexico is just like Trump.
