Thai artist Pomme Chan is exhibiting her works at the We Gallery. Born and educated in Bangkok, Chan completed her BA in interior design at Silpakorn University before working as a graphic designer. In 2002, she studied graphic design and communication at the London College of Communication. In 2013, she returned to Bangkok to open WhatIf Design, a shop and cafe, and her own Happy Pomme Studio. Her drawings have been featured in many magazines and she has worked on prestigious advertising campaigns for Sony, MTV, BMW, Marc Jacobs, Microsoft, La Mer, ESPN, Nike, Adidas, Nescafe, Converse, Uniqlo, Estee Lauder and Topshop. Using her unique hand-drawing skills, Chan’s eclectic style gets its inspiration from everyday life. Nature, fashion, architecture and the female form all play a big part in her works. She is also passionate about typographical illustrations and several of hers have appeared in Variety magazine, Digital Arts magazine and New York Times, among others.
