Children’s works are on exhibit
    2021-01-27  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The “OCAT FUTURE” Children’s Art Classes Mini-Exhibition was launched in the Overseas Chinese Town (OCT) Art&Design Gallery on January 16 and will last until January 31. The exhibition displays art works created by kids who participated in the “OCAT FUTURE” children’s art classes, from which visitors can not only see amazing art pieces but also understand how art affects children’s perspectives and ways of thinking.

The organizer, OCT Contemporary Art Terminal (OCAT), invited designers and architects to turn the exhibition into an interactive exploration maze with vivid visual effects to provide children with a fresh experience.

The children’s works and quick wit have also been recorded in a small picture album; by reading adults viewing the album may also be inspired to view the world from a different perspective.

The program, initiated on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of OCAT, aims to promote the development of art, encourage children to cultivate critical and creative thinking, and inspire them to explore their infinite possibilities.

“Children have infinite imaginations and the future of art depends on them. We hope to offer students not just the knowledge of art but also the magic that can spark their creativity,” said Liu Guanhua, the chairman of OCAT.
