There are many cities around the world. Some are new, some are old. Some are big, some are small. I think Shenzhen is a great city. It’s the second hometown in my life. Let me tell you how great it is.

First, Shenzhen is a smart city. If you want to go out, there are many kinds of transportation you can choose. Subways are everywhere; taxis are fast; buses are cheap and safe.

There are also many skyscrapers and tall buildings in Shenzhen. Some of them are shopping malls, some of them are companies. There are also many Hi-tech companies, such as Tencent, Huawei and Baidu. They make our city smarter.

Second, Shenzhen is a beautiful city. People in Shenzhen protect the environment very well. The streets and roads are tidy and clean, because we don’t throw rubbish on the ground and the cleaners work very hard. We can see blue sky with white clouds very often. Parks with lakes, rivers and hills are great places to visit, too. There are many beaches and seas in Shenzhen. We can see beautiful views. I like swimming in the sea and making sandcastles on the beach. The seafood is very delicious. We usually have fish, crab, shrimp and shellfish for meals.

Third, Shenzhen is an open city. Many foreigners come from different countries and they speak different languages. There are foreign teachers in our school, too. They teach us English.

Shenzhen is a young city. It’s only forty years old, but it’s really a great city. I love Shenzhen.
