Pingshan Art Museum

Four exhibitions under the “Nine-Tiered Pagoda: Spatial and Visual Magic” project are being held until Feb. 21. Meanwhile, the museum’s “Hometown Series” speaks of the coexistence of the past and the reality through the lens of simplicity and honesty. In the series’ first exhibition running until Feb. 28, Hai Bo’s photos exude the deep nostalgic feelings shared by people who are away from their roots. Visitors are required to book on the WeChat account “PingshanArtMuseum.”

Transport: Take the high-speed rail from Futian Station or Shenzhen North Station to Pingshan Station and then take a taxi

Contemporary artworks

“Dispersion and Convergence: The Third Global Overseas Chinese Artists Exhibition,” running until March 14, showcases works by 17 artists with Chinese heritage from 14 countries and regions. Visitors can book on the WeChat account “hxnartmuseum.”

Ryoichi Kurokawa’s art

Japanese artist Ryoichi Kurokawa is exhibiting his latest multimedia installation titled “s.asmbli[wall]” until Feb. 28. Images and videos of forests and architectural ruins are projected onto a huge box-like installation which is surrounded by an array of giant mirrors.

Venue: C2 Space, North Area, OCT-LOFT, Nanshan District (南山区华侨城创意文化园北区C2展厅)

Sea World

The “Fashioned From Nature” exhibition (98 yuan), together with a Chinese section, “Fashioned From Nature in China: Then and Now,” presents nearly 400 garments and accessories. The exhibition, running until June 6, showcases items from the V&A’s and the China National Silk Museum’s collections as well as international loans. Meanwhile, artist duo A.A Murakami is holding a free exhibition until April 18.
