Contemporary art

Contemporary artworks inspired by traditional Hakka houses are on display until Feb. 28. The show, a pre-exhibition for the 17th International Architecture Exhibition in Italy this year, strives to tackle the big issue of “how will we live together” by means of sculptures, installations and videos.

‘Time • Treasure’

“Time • Treasure” (158 yuan) is a multimedia exhibition featuring artistic installations and 18 reproductions of Da Vinci’s paintings running until Feb. 26.

Venue: OCT Creative Exhibition Center, OCT Harbor, Nanshan District (南山区欢乐海岸创展中心)

Metro: Line 9 to Shenzhen Bay Park Station (深圳湾公园站), Exit E

Illustrations

Enjoy beautiful and creative illustrations created by Chinese and international artists at the popular Dawan Ancestral Residence while admiring the centuries-old Hakka architecture.

Dates: Until Feb. 26

Venue: Dawan Ancestral Residence, Pingshan District (坪山区大万世居)

Transport: Take the high-speed rail from Futian Station or Shenzhen North Station to Pingshan Station and then take a taxi

Xiangyunsha

Artists and craftsmen are exhibiting their Xiangyunsha-themed works of art at the “Immerse in the Flow of Time” exhibition until Feb. 28. Xiangyunsha is a valuable silk fabric and the craft has been listed as a State-level intangible cultural heritage.

Venue: 1/F, UpperHills, Futian District (福田区深业上城一楼)

‘Art Maze’

The “Art Maze: Children’s Art Classes Mini-Exhibition,” running until Feb. 28, displays imaginative artworks created by children who participated in the “OCAT Future” children’s art classes in OCT Art last month.
