THE government will reinforce policy support for foreign trade and ensure the smooth operations of supply chains, Wang Wentao, the new commerce minister, said yesterday. China will strengthen efforts on coordinating development of trade industries, Wang told a news conference. The country is to certificate a new batch of foreign trade transformation and upgrade bases this year, and will also build a new host of industrial parks for processing trade, according to Wang. China will also establish a cluster of pilot demonstration zones for imports to expand scale of imports and stimulate quality development of related industries, he said. Sino-U.S. economic and trade ties should be win-win, and cooperation is the only right choice, Wang said while responding to questions from reporters. China is ready to enhance exchanges with the United States on the trade and economic fronts, he said. He looks forward to working with U.S. colleagues to focus on cooperation and manage differences, Wang told reporters at the news conference.(SD-Agencies) |
