Nowadays, almost everyone has a smart phone or cellphone in their hands and they’re becoming a part of our daily life. From my perspective, cellphones can be educational tools. Here are some of my reasons:

First and foremost, smart phones break the limitation of time and space for our studies. It is indisputable that we have gone through a hard time during the COVID-19 pandemic. What is worse, we had to be stuck at home and couldn’t continue our studies. Fortunately, we had our smart phones which helped us avoid the dangers of the virus and enabled us to continue our studies. At that time, using cellphones was the leading way to study. In the past, when we had problems in our studies, we had to ask teachers for help. However, teachers couldn’t always be near us. Now, the cell- phone gives us a chance to communicate with our teachers from a long distance. Moreover, smart phones have a lot of apps which can help us study whenever we have time and wherever we are.

Secondly, smart phones give us a way to broaden our horizons. With the development of the Internet, more and more helpful things have sprouted out. We can get a lot of things that can help us to study ranging from high-quality micro class videos to research papers from all over the world. What’s more, there are more useful apps for our studies, such as ”bilibili,” “YouTube” and “Forest.” These apps can not only help us study a variety of things but also help us manage our time. These apps provide a way for us to broaden our horizons.

However, some people hold the opinion that cellphones can’t be educational tools, because it can distract our attention and reduce our efficiency of studying, which will make us lose more than gain. Therefore, only by developing our self-control can we use our cellphones to study efficiently.

To conclude, cellphones can be educational tools not only because they can help us study anytime and at any place, they can also give us a chance to broaden our horizons. Using cellphones properly is the key to making it an educational tool. So, I sincerely hope that you can make full use of your phone to improve your studies, so that you can make your dreams come true.
