Studying in RDF International School, an American-style school that encourages students to explore their interests, I always want to do something for myself. During last Christmas holiday, a very bold idea emerged in my mind. This boldness was not only about creating a club, but also creating something. I love to debate, and I always think that debate makes me strong. Founding a club was my short-term dream in RDFIS.

I am an implementer. With this idea in mind, I started to invite some classmates to join me. However, to set up a new club, that was far from enough. So I decided to expand the recruitment information on my social media. At the beginning, only five people responded with interest, which was not enough. To get more people involved, I asked my friends to spread the debate club recruitment information in their circle of friends, to spread just like the binomial theorem. They helped me to make more people know about the club information. In the end, more than 20 students expressed their interest in attending the club.

Running a new club is very hard, and that is beyond all doubt. But out of passion and love, I am willing to strive for it. At that time, I felt that I should expand my reputation and let more students notice me and my club. So I used the summer holiday to interact with club members and plan club activities for the coming term. Before the start of school, our debate club has been well organized, so after returning to school, we started the club activities as planned.

To be anything you want to be, and to do anything you want to do. Maybe being a leader-like figure is what I want to do when I come to this school, but more importantly, I want to become the self in my eyes through my own efforts.

That is my first experience of creating a club. In fact, I think that as long as you think of the right direction for your dream, you will be anything you want to be!
