“Everyone should feel the words just like Linda does,” the teacher says with excitement. “Linda, why do you cry?”

Linda feels another wave touch her heart. She feels so confused and sad. She says boldly, without too much thinking, “I feel the world is so miserable. There is a grief that can’t be spoken, and the pain goes on and on in my mind. I feel that my mind has broadened. I want to see the world. The world’s oceans are wide, the sky is wider than the oceans, and the human mind is wider than the sky.”

Applause! Everyone is applauding. Linda feels a little giddy. It is the first time for her to feel like a star.

Linda becomes a little more confident after that. When she goes back home, the computer laughs, “Are you happy, Linda?”

“Am I dreaming?”

“Why not write your thoughts down?” the box says.

“Okay. “ Linda takes out the snacks again.

Another wave hits her. “Linda, don’t drool over the sight of good food.” The toy car is very annoyed. “Cook yourself a healthy meal instead.”

“Thank you.” Linda gets up and goes to the kitchen.

“I can’t believe Wang Gang was giving me a tissue today,” Linda writes in her diary.

“Linda, you are so stupid,” the kettle says.

“Why am I stupid? “

“How long have you been in love with that boy?”

“For three years,” Linda says.

“He isn’t worth it. He has a relationship with the most beautiful and most wicked girl in your class, Lily. What he likes is only a girl’s appearance, not her heart. Why are you crazy about him?”

“Stop, you annoying kettle! You are just an object, aren’t you? How do you know anything about a human’s feelings?” Linda cries again.

That night, all the objects turn silent.

As the teacher enters the classroom for the next literature class, she speaks excitedly to the students, “I never know that we have a literature master in our class. I never expected a girl of 16 to be so thoughtful. I want to read Linda’s essay to you.”

Lily giggles when she hears these words. She has a despising look in her eyes.

After the class, everyone is congratulating Linda. However, Lily’s cold voice comes sharply, “What’s the use of being a literature master if she is so ugly and fat!”

Everyone is surprised at first, then they break out laughing, though most of them laugh harmlessly. Linda notices that Wang Gang is laughing with Lily, too.

Linda blushes deeply. She feels a great sense of inferiority. A sharp pain is gnawing in her mind. But just as she is about to lose confidence and sink into depression, a wave touches her heart again.

Suddenly, she becomes very witty. Words blurt out quickly without too much thinking, “Don’t look down upon others. Every woman can change. Moreover, I have a heart now. You don’t even have a heart.” With these words, Linda walks away proudly, leaving everyone in the classroom surprised. Linda is amazed at her, too.

Finally, seven days have passed. Linda is very nervous because according to the agreement, the magic will end today. During the past days, with the help of magic and her object friends, she has changed into a totally different person.

First, she has lost a few pounds and exercised a lot in her spare time. She changes into living a healthy lifestyle and now has a radiant beauty. She develops her thoughts, and becomes very confident.

However, today the magic will come to an end. Suddenly, fear begins creeping into her mind. What is going to happen when the magic disappears? Is she going to return to her original shape?
