Tusi and Longmen relics

Relics from the tombs of two Tusi clans in Sichuan Province are on display until Sunday. A total of 76 pieces/sets of relics from Longmen Grottoes in Henan Province are on display until May 23.

Sea World

The “Fashioned From Nature” exhibition (98 yuan), together with a Chinese section, “Fashioned From Nature in China: Then and Now,” presents nearly 400 garments and accessories. The exhibition, running until June 6, showcases items from the V&A’s and the China National Silk Museum’s collections as well as international loans. Artist duo A.A Murakami is also holding a free exhibition until April 18. “Values of Design: China in the Making” (68 yuan) is Design Society’s permanent exhibition exploring the growing field of Chinese design.

TAO Dance Theater

The TAO Dance Theater will present “4” and “5,” two dance shows of its “Numerical Series,” this weekend. The works are a continuation of choreographer Tao Ye’s minimalist experimentation, exploring the potential of the human body as a visual element, devoid of story-telling or representation.

Time: 3 p.m., March 27-28

Beijing opera

Liu Xinran, a self-taught Beijing opera performer who specializes as a nandan, a man who portrays a female role on stage, will perform two one-man shows: “Lady Macbeth,” adapted from Shakespeare’s literary classic, and “Cao Qiqiao,” adapted from Eileen Chang’s novel “The Golden Cangue.”
