SOUTHERN University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and Shenzhen University (SZU) ranked 41st and 70th, respectively, in the Best Chinese Universities Ranking 2021 released by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy recently.

Meanwhile, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-SZ) took first place among Chinese-overseas cooperative universities.

It is said that the ranking adopted differential indexes to review more than 1,200 universities on the Chinese mainland. A total of 582 Chinese universities have been included in the main ranking list of the Best Chinese Universities Ranking 2021.

The top three best universities on the Chinese mainland are Tsinghua University, Peking University and Zhejiang University.

In addition to SUSTech and SZU, there are another six universities in Guangdong among the top 100 best universities.

Sun Yat-Sen University (12th) showed the best performance among the listed universities in Guangdong.

The other five universities are South China University of Technology (27th), Jinan University (57th), South China Normal University (75th), South China Agricultural University (93rd) and Guangzhou University (99th).
